I have tried different ways of staying physically active. From hiking to dancing to personal training to jogging and all in all, the main challenge is that motivational factor. Someone to hold me accountable for doing it right and doing it well. A few weeks ago, I got introduced to the owner of Kaia F.I.T. Long Beach. In an effort to expand my network and feed my curiosity, I attended the grand opening and BAM there goes the owner looking great in her fit self!
Nevertheless, I decided to at least try one class and the only time I could do it is at 6am. Mind you, I am an early bird but exercising that early is a different story, plus I’ve been staying up late (writing blogs :)).
Needless to say, I am super stoked about Kaia F.I.T., I love that it’s just for women, so no need to feel uncomfortable in attempts of looking attractive while working out. Even more impressive was the instructor, who is also the business owner: Lisa. She has such a bright smile and personality about the early workout that it was infectious. She was very motivating and looking at her fit physique was enough motivation to stop dragging my feet.
The workouts are challenging but manageable. And what I like most about the whole one hour session is that during stretch time, Lisa shares very useful nutritional tips and advice to help us make “F.I.T.” decisions all throughout the week.
I like trying new things and I love feeling like I’ve hit a “jackpot.” Kaia F.I.T. is worth waking up early for and I cannot wait to share my results as we work through this 5 week session.
