Exactly 2 weeks ago, I discovered the power of Kaia F.I.T. by accident. It started off with networking intentions then turned into motivation to try the class. And now I can say I’m hooked! I have been waking up at 5:30 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays to join the lovely young ladies in a very challenging but fun workout.
When I searched google, Kaia means: “the sea; restful place, yew tree, forgiveness; home; stone; willow, wise child; the one with the beautiful body, profile.” Kaia F.I.T. specifically defines Kaia as the one with the beautiful body. What I recently realized is that Kaia (pronounced as Kaya) is actually a word in Tagalog (Philippines Language) which means “I can” or “We can.” Isn’t that interesting?
I love going to the Kaia F.I.T sessions because so far, there hasn’t been any similar days. Every day, Lisa (Kaia F.I.T. Instructor and Franchisee) come up with something different. So it gives my workout an exciting twist. They focus on muscle confusion and believe me I am sore daily but in the right places!
My favorite so far is the last session of the week on Thursdays which is called the Kaia Flow, a power yoga, core strengthening class. Flow concentrates on creating long and lean muscles, which make you stronger, more flexible, coordinated and less prone to injury. It is important to take time to center ourselves and our minds, especially before the temptations of the weekend.
I have always wanted to try Yoga and tada… here it is right in front of my face. My motivation is that one day, I get to hold the poses like the instructor. I want to perfect my pushups and I want to gain more stamina in between cardios! Yes, I am a Zumba instructor but Kaia F.I.T is a totally different workout! It really challenges your strength and will power!
Because I love Kaia so much, I have invited Lisa to do a 5 week free demo at one of my local venues! If you are in the South Bay area: Long Beach, Carson, Torrance, etc… make sure you come out and try the demo classes at the SouthBay Pavilion Mall every Tuesdays from 9am -10am starting November 12th. It’s a great way to stay in shape for the holidays.
